Liza\u2019s work explores the influence of human occupation on the environment, marks and traces found in the landscape, political and social geography, and an interest in the written word. Using photography, sketches and writing to record her responses, Liza further develops ideas in the studio, employing textiles, stitch and found objects alongside traditional materials to create mixed media textile installations and artist books. Recent work has focused on the effect of war, loss, and displacement of human populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liza studied Textiles and Fashion at Edinburgh College (formerly Edinburgh\u2019s Telford College), has worked and travelled in Europe and the Middle East, and now lives and works in Edinburgh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artist books are in the collection of Edinburgh City Libraries (Fine Art). Commissions include the supply of a body of work for Cox Howlett Bailey Woodland, Architects, for a hotel complex in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
