Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh EH3 6QE
3 – 25 April 2026, Tues to Fri 11 – 5, Sat 11 – 2
A solo exhibition of paintings and lettering inspired by the writings of John Ruskin. Ruskin, like Susie, believed that the landscape painter should seek to evoke something far deeper than the purely physical reality: ‘We never see anything clearly’. On show are over 40 new works with titles taken from Ruskin, as well as a complex calligraphic panel with text from Ruskin’s ‘Of mountain beauty’ created in 2005.
